Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description:

Supervises the work activities of the housekeepers & housemen to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment

Typical Work Conditions:

Entire hotel

Equipment Used:

Carts, vacuum, wet and dry mops, various cleaners and cleaning tools but not limited to the above equipment.

Knowledge/Training:

·         Must be able to read, write and speak English

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         2nd language desirable

·         3 years minimum housekeeping experience required

Essential Tasks:

·         Inspects rooms daily for cleanliness, neatness, appearance and wear and tear

·         Reports needed repairs according to procedures to supervisor and/or maintenance

·         Works closely with engineering and front office on out-of-order rooms

·         To assist in the development and implementation of department programs, training, scheduling, supervision of housekeeping employees

·         Reports lost and found articles to supervisor immediately, mails or properly stores items

·         Responsible for picking up “over” rooms at times when it becomes necessary
