Hilton Ocala is one of four Meyer Jabara properties in Florida. Our beautiful 196-room hotel features six spacious event rooms and a tented outdoor event space, making us a premier destination for weddings, meetings, and special events.
We are currently seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Overnight Maintenance Technicians to join our team.
Position Summary
The Overnight Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and hotel facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by proactively addressing maintenance needs and responding to overnight service requests.
Overnight and weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure all systems are in proper working condition
- Inspect and repair electrical systems including lighting, outlets, and in-room equipment
- Maintain HVAC units to ensure proper operation and cleanliness
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems such as toilets, sinks, and bathtubs
- Complete basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs
- Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve maintenance issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance or engineering experience preferred, ideally in a hotel setting
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work
- Ability to use hand tools and perform basic carpentry and maintenance tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with guests and team members
- Flexible schedule, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work performed throughout the hotel, both indoors and outdoors
- Regular use of ladders, tools, and maintenance equipment
- Frequent bending, climbing, lifting, and standing
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds as needed
- Physically active role requiring mobility and manual dexterity throughout shift
