Position Summary
We are currently seeking a FT MRI Technologist to join our team at the Twin Lakes Imaging Center in Daytona Beach, FL. This is a great opportunity for a skilled imaging professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and accurate diagnostic imaging. You will perform a variety of MRI procedures using 1.5T and 3T equipment while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures
  • Clearly explain procedures and address patient concerns
  • Verify imaging orders, diagnosis codes, and authorizations
  • Ensure compliance with MRI safety protocols
  • Operate 1.5T and 3T MRI systems following established protocols
  • Administer contrast materials (oral or IV) as required
  • Perform image quality checks and documentation
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic system
  • Conduct weekly ACR quality assurance tasks
  • Report equipment malfunctions as needed
  • Assist in training new staff and mentoring student technologists
  • Provide physical and emotional support to patients

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program
  • Minimum 2 years of imaging experience, with at least 1 year in MRI preferred
  • Experience with both 1.5T and 3T MRI systems is a plus

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Florida-licensed Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)) or Nuclear Medicine (RT(N))
  • ARRT (MR) certification preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire
  • BLS certification required

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of MRI protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
  • Familiarity with PACS and digital imaging systems
  • Skilled in IV placement and contrast administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Calm under pressure and capable of handling emergencies
