Job Title: Maintenance Technician – CNC, General Production Equipment and Facilities

Department: Facilities Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Facilities Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Fidelity Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of CNC machinery and general production equipment including laser and plasma cutting tables, press brakes, shears, compressors, forklifts, etc. 
  • Experience with industrial 3 phase electrical systems and wiring.
  • Experience with plumbing and piping for hydraulics, air, welding gases, etc.
  • Good computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

This role is essential to ensuring consistent uptime, optimal performance, and safety across all production lines.


As a member of our maintenance team, you will support operations by executing preventative and corrective maintenance and inspections across a wide range of manufacturing technologies used in high-volume production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain CNC equipment (e.g., Messer, Accurshear, and Accurpress equipment) and general production machinery (punches, saws, insulation cutters, paint equipment, etc.).
  • Conduct preventive maintenance per schedule and document activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Fidelity utilizes FIIX by Rockwell Automation.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Repair and calibrate CNC machines and ensure alignment with production and quality standards.
  • Assist in installation, relocation, and setup of equipment and production lines.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve recurring issues and improve machine performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and efficiency (e.g., TPM, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of work areas and ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and industry standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, machine manuals, and schematics.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, or similar field a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with emphasis on CNC machine repair in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of CNC controls, machine diagnostics, and general industrial machinery systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic and measuring tools (e.g., multimeters, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems, VFDs, HMIs, and automation equipment is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in high-volume or continuous manufacturing (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical device).
  • Certifications in areas such as electrical safety, hydraulics, or CNC systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software.


Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform tasks that require frequent bending, climbing, standing, and kneeling.
  • Work may require exposure to noise, dust, lubricants, and varying temperatures.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as business needs demand.
  • Fidelity maintains multiple production plants, some travel maybe necessary.
