We seek a recruitment assistant to support the Director of Recruitment in recruiting and onboarding activities. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating schedules, candidate database maintenance, and will help screen and refer candidates for interviews. The recruitment assistant should be an excellent communicator who works well with a team. Objectives of this role Supports the Director with recruiting, screening, and onboarding activities Facilitate a smooth hiring process for both the hiring team and job applicants Maintain the hiring department’s high degree of organization and efficiency. Draft communications materials, such as job postings, emails to candidates, and offer and rejection letters Collaborate with the hiring team to carry out streamlined onboarding processes Assist Director with tracking those Responsibilities Perform clerical duties like emailing, making phone calls, and requesting documents Review applications and screen candidates Refer candidates for interview and track progress Create job listings and post them online Maintain an accurate, organized, and detailed candidate database Assist candidates during the interview process, answering questions and providing them with key materials Qualifications Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a group Excellent problem-solving capabilities Perceptive listening skills Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet. High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License. Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies, and other agencies. Preferred qualifications Bilingual with a preference for Haitian creole Experience with the hiring process, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding Experience using Paycom Great attention to detail Strong time management and organizational skills Outstanding clerical skills, such as data entry, emailing, and scheduling High degree of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality   LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Also required is the ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, and customers.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
