Definition:

Under supervision, performs a variety of routine functions involved with the use of the public boat ramp facilities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Issues and collects money for boat ramp permits; directs autos into parking spaces; enforces rules; coordinates use of facilities to prevent users from interfering with one another; settles disputes between users regarding use of facilities; cleans and performs minor maintenance of docks, building, and parking lot; performs other related duties as required. 

Requirements:

Some Knowledge of: Boat ramp safety; arithmetic computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 

Ability to: Read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position; count and record numerical data; perform basic arithmetic computations such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication; follow detailed oral and written directions; establish and maintain good working relationships with coworkers; deal courteously with the general public; maintain suitable records and files. 

Special Requirements:

Employees are required to wear the uniform provided at all times.

 Minimum Age Requirement 18 

Tools and Equipment Used:

Hand tools, cash register, time clock. 

Physical Demands:

Position requires employee to: Continuously stand or walk, talk and hear, lift up to 25 lbs., and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and occasionally sit, climb steps to facility and smell for fuel leaks. Special vision requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 

Work Environment:

Position requires employee to: Continuously work in outdoor weather conditions such as heat, sun, and insects; frequently work near moving mechanical parts; and occasionally be exposed to fumes.
