WORK TYPE Remote

LOCATION DETAILS Ocean Township, NJ

WORK HOURS  

Monday – Friday, Full Time Team members work 8-hour shifts for 40 hours per week. Shift times may vary, and extra hours may be added to your schedule to ensure we fulfill our commitments to customers.

Peak Season Requirements: January - June

Mandatory overtime will include weekends

Base pay: 50,000/yearly

The Staffing & Development Team Member in the Staffing & Development Department is responsible for managing all aspects of staffing, scheduling, and development for OneBeat’s 350+ seasonal tour team members across multiple brands and event types. This role oversees the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to scheduling, training, and retention, while ensuring tour coverage, team engagement, and alignment with OneBeat’s values and operational goals. The Staffing & Development Team Member works closely with the Operations and Finance teams to maintain seamless event staffing, accurate reporting, and a strong, positive tour team culture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO


Staffing & Scheduling

  • Help with full-cycle staffing for 350+ seasonal tour team members across all OneBeat brands and events (Regionals, Nationals, Conventions, etc.).
  • Manage and continuously update multi-tab scheduling spreadsheets to ensure proper event coverage each weekend.
  • Coordinate brand-specific assignments and ensure equitable distribution of events based on performance, availability, and travel logistics.
  • Partner with the Operations Department to accommodate tour team travel and availability needs.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Help with recruitment for all tour positions, including job postings, screenings, interviews, and offer communications.
  • Draft offer letters and oversee onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding materials and processes.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and setup for all tour team members prior to event season.

Development & Retention

  • Help manage staff recognition programs, including DreamTeam Legends and Bonusly (weekly and monthly awards).
  • Collect and analyze retention and attrition data to inform staffing strategies and enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Conduct pulse surveys to assess engagement and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Help plan and facilitate annual Tour Team Training sessions.

Culture & Communication

  • Serve as a point of contact for seasonal staff regarding scheduling, travel, and policy updates.
  • Draft and distribute communications related to training, compensation, and event logistics via Slack, Asana, and email.
  • Promote OneBeat’s core values across all brands to ensure a positive and consistent employee experience.
  • Oversee the design, distribution, and management of Tour Team uniforms.

Operational Support & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain staffing metrics and reports, including retention, turnover, brand distribution, and compensation rates.
  • Oversee tour team pay rates in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on staffing performance, challenges, and process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to oversee large-scale staffing operations.
  • Experience with workflow tools like Asana, Slack, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across departments and teams.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze staffing trends and make informed recommendations.
  • Demonstrated leadership in fostering positive culture, engagement, and retention programs.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in staffing, scheduling, or people operations, preferably in a live events or seasonal workforce environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-50 lbs. on a regular basis from floor to waist. Finger and hand dexterity and ability to read text on a screen. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
