TERI is seeking experienced Behavior Support Professionals with direct, hands-on experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who exhibit severe challenging behaviors. Your Role & Responsibilities –
- Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and provide direct behavioral support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who exhibit severe, challenging behaviors.
- Safely respond to behavioral incidents, including physical aggression and assaultive behaviors, using evidence based antecedent and crisis intervention techniques.
- Collect and document behavioral data, participant progress, incidents, and other required records to support ongoing treatment and program goals.
- Promote independence, community inclusion, and skill development through person-centered instruction, active support, and meaningful community-based activities.
- Assist participants with activities of daily living, medication administration, transportation, community access, and other individualized support needs while ensuring their health, safety, and dignity.
- Collaborate with Behavior Specialists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent implementation of behavior support strategies and high-quality participant outcomes.
Qualifications –
- 6 months+ of direct, hands-on experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who exhibit severe aggressive, assaultive, or high-risk behaviors.
- Demonstrated experience implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and utilizing approved crisis intervention techniques (e.g., BEST or equivalent).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record and the ability to safely transport participants in the community.
Pay –
$25.00 Hourly
Status –
Full-time (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM/ 4:00 PM)
