The Electromechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for serial assembly of electronic assemblies such as inspection cameras, industrial electromagnetic actuators, and control boxes, along with video, power, and signal cables.

Responsibilities
▪          Build production assemblies per work instructions, and specifications, in a medium volume/moderate mix production environment.
▪          Perform hand soldering operations per IPC-J-STD-001, or other special requirements
▪          Terminate wiring and cable assemblies per schematics and manufacturing quality standards
▪          Label parts and components with identifying information
▪          Measure, mix, and apply polymeric chemical adhesives to assemblies
▪          Occasionally perform electrical acceptance testing per procedures
▪          Maintain and complete assembly documentation for traceability and issues
▪          Prepare new assembly instructions when required
▪          Perform other activities as directed
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess sound abilities with the aforementioned qualitative skills. In addition, the candidate must also meet the following quantitative requirements:
▪          Experience in a manufacturing/assembly role in a similar environment, and on similar product lines is highly desirable
▪          An IPC-J-STD-001 soldering certificate, or similar; and/or hands-on experience with performing manual soldering operations is highly desirable
▪          Must be able to read assembly and engineering drawings
▪          Must be able to follow and execute documented assembly instructions and processes
▪          Must be able to prepare and apply chemicals such as paints, and two-part polymeric compounds
▪          Must have experience working with electrical test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
▪          Prior experience working within a 5S, or lean, production environment is highly desirable
▪          Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
▪          Must be self-starting, with an excellent attention to detail
▪          Must have a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills, and be able to work within a collaborative environment
▪          Must have a valid driver's license, with a good driving record (occasional driving with a company vehicle may be required)
▪          Must have (or have the capability to obtain) a US Passport within 1 year of hire date
