Join our team as an Ophthalmic Tester! In this role, you'll perform diagnostic testing and ophthalmic imaging that helps providers evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

What You'll Do

āœ… Prepare patients for testing and verify patient identification
āœ… Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing and imaging
āœ… Document and transfer test results for provider review
āœ… Instill prescribed eye drops (after training and competency validation)
āœ… Maintain and troubleshoot ophthalmic equipment
āœ… Stock exam rooms and maintain supplies
āœ… Assist with patient communication and triage needs
āœ… Support efficient patient flow and provide excellent customer service

  • Visual Fields (VF)
  • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
  • A-Scan / IOL Master
  • B-Scan
  • Fundus & Optic Nerve Photography
  • Corneal Topography
  • Endothelial Cell Count (ECC)
  • Dry Eye Testing
  • Auto Refraction
  • Tonometry
  • Lensometry

Qualifications

āœ” High School Diploma or equivalent required
āœ” Experience with EMR/EHR systems (NextGen preferred)
āœ” Customer service or medical office experience preferred
āœ” Knowledge of ophthalmic medications preferred
āœ” Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
āœ” Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and patient interaction
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Strong visual attention to detail and color differentiation
