Job Summary Â
​​Responsible for the Customer Service duties in the shipping office, including checking in truck drivers and vendors, answering phones, using JDE, using RFSMART, Excel, Word, Outlook, and operating printer, copiers, fax machines, etc. Supporting proper and timely order fulfillment for our customers. Operating a forklift and ensuring finished product is correctly and safely placed in the warehouses as directed.​Â

Job DutiesÂ

​​Perform work according to established safety rules and practices, while striving for ZERO Accidents. ​Â

Identify Near Misses along with appropriate corrective actions. Â
-
Greets and directs all transportation resources. Acknowledgement and verification of order numbers in JDE.Â
-
Work in JDE creating Picks and Packs, Ship Supports, entering appointments, pick-ups, transfer orders and receive orders. Â
-
Communicate with customer service, staff, supervisors and others who require communication.  Â
-
Assigns loading door to drivers based on most efficient loading capabilities. Â
-
Resolves problems associated with overweight trucks. Modifies and changes orders in accordance to cut-order procedures.  Â

Resolves shipment discrepancies between JDE and updates load cut reports.  Â
-
Performs other tasks and special assignments as requested.  Â

Support and lead Oil-Dri’s loss prevention efforts. Â

Correctly placard items for inventory, correctly fill out inventory pallet and inventory sheets and damage inventory.     Â

Stack or restack product onto pallets as needed. Â
-
Performs pre-operational equipment checks and monitors forklift performance and gauges during operation. Â

Keeps areas clean and free of clutter. Â

Follows all safety rules and regulations. Â

Performs other duties as assigned.  Â

Preferred QualificationsÂ

Education:Â Â

HS Diploma or Equivalent. Â

Licensure/Certification:Â Â

Work Experience:Â Â
-
Knowledge of the Oil-Dri Entry, Shipment Procedure, and Product Line, preferred.  Â

Two years of scheduling experience, preferredÂ
-
Strong administrative skills with willingness to handle paperwork. Â
-
Ability to keep multiple jobs in controlled motion simultaneously. Â
-
Experienced user of JDE, windows-based computing and software desired. Â
-
Basic knowledge of using Excel, Word, and OutlookÂ
-
Operate a forklift throughout shiftÂ

Must be able to function in the required role while wearing appropriate PPE including, but not limited to: Safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask, protective coveralls, and other as may be required by a hot/cold, dusty, loud industrial environment. Â
