As the overall leader of the local sales organization for a given Region, the VP of Sales helps shape and execute the sales vision for the organization by ensuring appropriate processes, systems, people and culture are in place to win in the market. Furthermore, this position will be accountable for successfully meeting all plan goals for local sales growth, contract sales growth and margin management. This position is responsible for executing the center led strategies, ensuring top talent in the Director level positions, and leveraging selling resources such as New Business Developers, Specialists and others to grow market share and enable a consultative team-based selling organization. Coaching all Director level positions to meet and exceed company objectives is a core responsibility. Up to 75% Travel Required within Region. Responsibilities include leading a high-performing local sales organization responsible for growing Sysco’s market share, meeting and exceeding company plan objectives, leading Customer Engagement efforts, collaborating with cross-functional departments, recruiting and developing local sales leadership and associates, managing performance and leadership development of direct reports, championing performance management with KPIs focused on new customer growth, sales growth, GP$ generation, market share increase, partnering with Director of Business Resources to maximize selling resources, participating in national campaigns, implementing corporate/market changes and programs, developing sales selling cycle and methodology, leveraging sales resources to manage sales activities, developing and executing strategies to deliver sales budgets and regional profit plans, managing major client accounts, representing Sysco in community/business meetings, and leading development of sales associates and managers. Education/Experience: Minimum Bachelor's degree or 10 years sales experience, 7 years leading B2B sales team with demonstrated success. Knowledge & Skills: Strong performance management, analytical problem-solving, financial acumen, coaching and mentoring, interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Suite, organizational and project management skills, business and restaurant operations acumen, consultative selling, networking, negotiation skills, proactive and self-directed, ability to present and respond to questions, problem-solving, leadership in discussions and meetings, policy application, understanding of Sysco’s key business metrics, disciplined work ethic, and ability to meet deadlines. Reports to work promptly and regularly. Must demonstrate all Leadership Framework competencies for this position.
