Position Overview:
The Group Leader assists in overseeing the daily production of bagged and boxed products, ensuring efficiency, teamwork, and adherence to quality standards. This role supports the supervisor by maintaining a safe work environment and coordinating the operation of various baggers (automated and manual), printers, boxing, stretch wrappers, tape machines, and other support equipment to optimize production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Support:
- Make sure the team stays on schedule and meets production goals.
- Review orders for critical information and prepare products for shipment.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Team Coordination:
- Assign tasks and help team members as needed.
- Be the go-to person for questions or concerns from the team.
- Quality Checks:
- Keep an eye on product quality and report any problems to the supervisor.
- Help ensure all products meet company standards.
- Safety and Rules:
- Ensure team members follow safety guidelines and company policies.
- Report any hazards or safety concerns.
- Communication:
- Keep the supervisor updated on how things are going.
- Share feedback from the team to improve processes.
- Experience working in a bagging, packing, or manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to lead by example and support team members.
- Ability to stand and move around for most of the workday.
- Capable of safely lifting and handling up to 50 pounds when required.
- This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with others, keeping things organized, and helping the team succeed.
Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Additional secondary education a plus
Choose your Shift: 1st shift hours are the following options:
- 7AM - 3:30PMÂ (8 hrs Mon - Friday)
Pay: $17-18/HR based off experience and interview
