The Role

We are hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic with current CAT certification to support power generation and industrial projects. The position is based from our Houston headquarters with deployment to project sites nationwide. This is an immediate-need position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, repair, overhaul, and preventive maintenance on Caterpillar engines and equipment, including generator sets and heavy industrial machinery
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using CAT diagnostic tools (CAT ET or equivalent)
  • Execute scheduled and emergency maintenance at project sites with minimal supervision
  • Complete accurate service documentation, inspection reports, and parts requests
  • Comply with all site safety requirements, OSHA standards, and company procedures
  • Travel and deploy to project sites as required

Mandatory — all three must be met:

  • CURRENT CATERPILLAR CERTIFICATION (CAT dealer certification, ThinkBIG program graduate, or CAT factory training). Applications without verifiable CAT certification will not be considered.
  • LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY: must currently reside in the United States. International applicants will not be considered.
  • NO SPONSORSHIP: must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship of any kind. Visa sponsorship is not available at this moment.

Additional qualifications:

  • 5+ years hands-on experience as a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic on CAT engines and equipment
  • Experience with CAT generator sets (gensets) strongly preferred
  • Own basic hand tools; ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • Valid driver's license; willingness to travel to project sites
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in industrial field conditions
