We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide coverage for an FMLA leave from November 16, 2026 through February 26, 2027. This opportunity is based within a highly supportive school district in Odessa, Delaware, serving students in a high school and transition program.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist looking for a meaningful short-term assignment while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.

About the Position

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week
  • On-site position
  • High school (9th–12th grade) and transition program (ages 18–22)
  • Approximately 35-student caseload
  • Primarily supporting students with Autism and intellectual disabilities
  • Shared office space
  • Duty-free lunch provided

The Occupational Therapist will provide direct services, collaborate with educators and related service providers, and support students with a variety of functional and sensory needs. Experience implementing AAC strategies, addressing sensory regulation and proprioceptive needs, supporting positive behaviors, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams is highly valued.

Compensation

  • $60,000–$75,000 annualized salary (prorated for the duration of the assignment)

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current or eligible Delaware Occupational Therapist license
  • Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Experience supporting students with Autism and intellectual disabilities preferred
  • Comfortable implementing AAC strategies and sensory-based interventions
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
