Respiratory Care Student Internship (Paid) – ChristianaCare Newark Campus

Program Description:

A paid and structured internship for students actively enrolled in a CoARC‑accredited Respiratory Care program.
You’ll support the department through equipment and workflow responsibilities, and if you obtain a Delaware Working Student RCP Permit, you may perform supervised patient care activities within scope and competency.

Role/Responsibility:

Respiratory equipment processing: clean, assemble, transport, stock, and maintain supplies / equipment.
Participate in respiratory education sessions.
Learn and follow infection prevention and safety practices.

Patient-care scope (if licensed Student)

Perform supervised clinical tasks under the direction of licensed Respiratory Therapists.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled and in good standing in a CoARC‑accredited Respiratory Care program.
BLS
Ability to follow protocols, communicate professionally, and safely handle equipment in clinical areas.

This is a flat rate paid internship at $18.00 per hour.This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
