Job summary

Under general supervision, performs a variety of work in general garment department to ensure production standards are met and a quality product is output. 

Duties and essential job functions

Monday- Friday: 6am-2:30pm

  • Responsible for grading and labeling return to stock garments
  • Check each garment to determine quality
  • Responsible for routing garments to appropriate stocking line; and properly document the metering of production standards.
  • Application and stripping of emblems.
  • Daily accuracy and productivity of work is necessary.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace department.
  • Assembling labels to clothing
  • This position requires regular and reliable attendance.


 

Minimum requirements

Must be able to work independently and be detail –oriented. Prefer previous production experience, but not required. Physical demands may or may not include the following: ability to continuously stand, bend, rotate trunk, reach out and/or up, lift and/or carry, climbing and grasping. Must also be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Attention to detail preferred.

Stockroom Worker

Physical Job Functions:

  1. Hang clothes
  2. Unload clean laundry 
  3. Sort uniforms, linens, mats, etc.;
  4. Fold laundry
  5. Push carts full of laundry

 

Critical Physical Demands:

Sitting:                                               

Rarely

 

Walking:                                             

Occasionally, to move from station to station and job.   Distance varies.

 

Bending:                                            

Continuously, to sort, count, load laundry 

UP to 90 degrees flexion.

 

Trunk Rotation:                                

Continuously, to load, unload, sort, retrieve, and carry laundry.

 

Squatting/Crouching:  

Occasionally, to pick up, sort, retrieve and place laundry in bags.

 

Climbing:                                           

None

 

Reaching out/up:                              

Frequently, to load, unload and hang laundry up to arms length and 70 inches from 

the floor.

 

Grasping/Pinching/Wrist Turning:               

Continuously, to handle laundry, mats, hangers, bags. 

.  Power and precision grasp.

 

Finger Manipulation:          

Frequently, to button shirts

 

Pushing/Pulling:                               

Frequently, up to 10 pounds of force to, move clothes 

along rail system, bring laundry carts to truck.

 

Lifting/Carrying:                               

Occasionally, up to 30 pounds to take items to and from  moving items from one area to another – lifting from floor to 70 inches.  Frequently under 10 pounds to hand laundry on conveyor.  Distance varies.

 

Use of Feet:                                       

Frequently, to walk throughout the facility to job rotate and stand at work stations.
