Position Summary

Fusion is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support climate control and utility infrastructure operations for a facility near Omaha, NE. This role supports maintenance and repair activities for large-scale HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, and chiller systems within a secure government facility environment.  The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting experience, experience supporting complex HVAC systems, and the ability to lead maintenance activities within mission-critical facilities.

 

Security Clearance Requirement

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
  • Active Top Secret clearance w/ SCI Eligibility preferred

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support HVAC maintenance and repair activities
  • Troubleshoot and repair large package units, chiller plants, boilers, refrigeration systems, dehumidification systems, and air compressor systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC and utility systems
  • Coordinate work activities and support government operational requirements
  • Follow OSHA regulations, site safety, and PPE requirements
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are properly maintained and secured

 

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

  • EPA Section 603 Universal Certification required
  • Propane Refrigerant Certification desired
  • Experience with refrigerant recovery procedures desired
  • Experience maintaining and repairing large HVAC, boiler, chiller, and refrigeration systems
  • Must be mechanically inclined and capable of performing physically demanding work activities
  • Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds, carry equipment and materials up to 15 feet, crawl, walk, kneel, and perform physical maintenance activities as required
  • Must be willing to support 24/7 emergency call response requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills in English

 

Additional Information

This position supports a 24/7 mission-critical operation and is covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA). Employees may be assigned day, evening, overnight, weekend, holiday, or on-call shifts as needed to meet operational requirements and support emergency response activities.
