CDL Driver

Job Description/Responsibilities

Under supervision, operates a truck picking up steel sided flat bed or roll-off containers within specified area.

Wait to be loaded by either Alter or customer and drive loads to customer or Alter.
Drive semis around the yard while moving scrap material
May operate equipment within the yard, loading or moving scrap material
Wear all necessary PPE when working in the yard
Follow company safety standards at all times
Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Must have Class A CDL or Class B CDL (for straight truck) license and minimum 1-3 years verifiable experience. Candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 30-50 lbs. and 100+lbs on 2-person lift. General knowledge of difference between ferrous and non-ferrous material preferred and equipment experience preferred.
