In this role, you support machining and assembly operations that enable high‑quality component production for space systems. You operate computer numerical control (CNC) machinery, perform assembly tasks, and contribute to a safe, efficient manufacturing environment where precision and teamwork directly impact program success.
Responsibilities
- Operates CNC machinery and related manufacturing equipment to produce components to specification.
- Assembles parts and components according to defined work instructions and production schedules.
- Uses hand tools and power tools safely to complete machining, assembly, and deburring tasks.
- Conducts quality checks on machined and assembled products to confirm conformance with standards.
- Performs basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance to support equipment performance.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area and follows all safety protocols.
- Collaborates with team members to achieve production goals and resolve workflow issues.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in machining or manufacturing.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for machining, assembly, and deburring work.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving production needs.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and move throughout the manufacturing area for extended periods.
- Lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Work safely in a manufacturing environment using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
