Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.   • 6 or more years of experience designing and constructing HVAC systems for large commercial/industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge ofĀ industryĀ and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.
  • Experience withĀ performing airflow calculationsĀ for Mechanical/HVAC systems and equipment on power plants, refineries, or chemical process facilities.
  • Experience with HVAC equipment selection.Ā 
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.
  • Bachelor'sĀ degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with 6Ā or moreĀ years of related experience.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Experience working with vendors on the procurement of equipment.
  • Experience in CGD and/or Environmental Equipment Qualification.
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination.
  • Experience with Trane TRACEā„¢ 700 and VariTraneā„¢ Duct Designer software.
  • Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Prior experience working with Government agencies, preferably DOE or DOD.
