How You’ll Make an Impact:Ā 

  • Operational Oversight & ExecutionĀ 

  • Actively oversee and participate in the movement of materials into, within, and out of the facility to ensure timely and accurate material flow.Ā 

  • Perform all job functions associated with the S/R Specialist role, as needed, to support operational continuity.Ā 

  • Coordinate truckload freight arrangements by developing freight requirements, requesting quotes from approved carriers, analyzing carrier proposals, and scheduling loads.Ā 

  • Partner with Purchasing to create and manage freight-related purchase orders.Ā 

  • Leadership, Training & MentorshipĀ 

  • Support and assist S/R Specialists and other JR team members in resolving logistics-related issues.Ā 

  • Assist in developing training materials for S/R Specialists and Lead S/R Specialist roleĀ 

  • Provide hands-on training and guidance to S/R Specialists and other Leads on job responsibilities, procedures, and best practices.Ā 

  • Mentor logistics team members while modeling positive behavior, professionalism, and a strong team-focused attitude.Ā 

  • Continuous Improvement & Lean InitiativesĀ 

  • Participate in and promote Lean and Six Sigma initiatives related to Shipping and Receiving.Ā 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, accuracy, and throughput.Ā 

  • Support the implementation of standardized work and best practices across logistics operations.Ā 

  • Subject Matter ExpertiseĀ 

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more of the following areas: international shipping, truckload freight arrangements, information systems (Ops Manager, Job Track, Baan), and material handling equipment usage and safety.Ā 

  • Act as a key point of contact for logisticsprocess knowledge and troubleshooting.Ā 

  • Safety & Equipment OperationĀ 

  • Safely operate overhead cranes, hi-lo (forklift) equipment, and other material handling equipment as required.Ā 

  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.Ā 

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis as part of daily job duties.Ā

What You’ll Bring:Ā Ā 

  • Minimum of three years in a business environment; two or more years of logistics, materials management, or supply chain experience preferred.Ā 

  • Education Requirements – High school diploma, or equivalent experience, calculated as two (2) years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study. Related certification(s) or college preferred.Ā 

  • Logistics, Material Management or Supply Chain experience preferred.Ā 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.Ā 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.Ā 

  • Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually.Ā 

  • Ability to obtain a Hi‐Lo (Forklift) and Overhead Crane license while employed at JRĀ 

  • Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred.Ā
