What You'll Be Doing (Where You Make Your Impact)

  • Own the estimating process from start to finish-plans, specs, scope, all of it
  • Break down projects into real costs: labor, materials, equipment, subs
  • Lead quantity takeoffs and make sure nothing gets missed (because missed = expensive)
  • Work closely with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to build competitive bids
  • Attend site walks and pre-bid meetings to get the real story behind the plans
  • Identify value engineering opportunities (save money without cutting corners)
  • Submit clean, accurate, on-time proposals-no last-minute chaos
  • Help hand projects off smoothly once the job is won

What You Bring to the Table

  • 6+ years in electrical construction 
  • 6+ years of estimating experience (commercial/industrial preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
  • Experience with estimating software like Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar
  • Ability to read blueprints like a second language
  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple bids at once
  • Solid communication skills-you can talk to engineers, PMs, and vendors without things getting lost in translation
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
