Position Overview

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician will provide services in both inpatient and outpatient clinical laboratory settings, supporting essential diagnostic care.

• Perform diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology 
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment 
• Perform quality control procedures and equipment calibration 
• Analyze and interpret laboratory results using sound professional judgment 
• Assist with phlebotomy as needed 
• Work in hospital and/or outpatient clinic environments 
• Accurately document and manage data within an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Requirements

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (Bachelor’s degree preferred) 
• ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification required 
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required 
• 2–3 years of experience as a CLS or MLT in a hospital laboratory setting 
• Previous medical or clinical laboratory experience required 
• Experience in rural or underserved healthcare settings preferred 
• Prior Indian Health Services (IHS) or tribal healthcare experience preferred 
• Phlebotomy experience preferred 
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems 
• Must be a U.S. citizen 
• Must be able to pass Federal Security Clearance 
• Immunization records required
