About The Role:
Support mill operations and maintenance through supervision of Stores inventory management, material reservations, receiving, issuing, material kitting and parts delivery functions. Position will also be responsible for supporting Purchasing department by purchasing materials, parts, supplies, services, and equipment following established Purchasing policies. The position reports to the Purchasing & Stores Manager and will be located at the Flint River Mill.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain strong focus on safety compliance, hazard recognition / mitigation and continual improvement.
- Supervise a storeroom team of 4-5 technicians that receive, store, issue, deliver and ship inventoried items and direct buy items.
- Develop direct reports to provide maximum customer service/support and adhere to all Global Sourcing and storeroom policies and procedures.
- Schedule and approve working hours for storeroom team to fit mill needs.
- Purchase materials and services from suppliers providing best value with consideration to quality, price, contracts, reliability, and urgency of need.
- Responsible for maintaining stock items in required quantity and condition to support operations and maintenance.
- Ensure completion of annual cycle counts per policy.
- Identify and implement initiatives for optimizing storeroom inventory value (approximately $11MM) by working with maintenance, other GCF facilities, vendors and various GCF organizations.
- Lead Inventory Optimization initiative to support the identification, removal, and cost recovery of excess and obsolete Storeroom inventory.
- Coordinate scrap and surplus materials sales activities.
- Manage Repairable Materials program (Repair & Return), Committed Inventory Program and Vendor Managed Inventory Program all as part of optimizing dollars expended in Stores Inventory Value.
- Perform Contract Coordinator activities associated with onsite vendor representatives and occasional contractor work in Storeroom areas.
- Identify potential suppliers and issue requests for quotes.
- Identify and implement storeroom management and shipping/receiving best practices.
- Adhere to Global Sourcing and Internal Controls policies including document retention and reporting.
- Support Global Sourcing initiatives and maintain strong working knowledge of Global Sourcing Agreements and relevant contract provisions. Manage through vendor changes as required.
- Participate in the Purchasing & Stores Weekend Duty rotation.
- Will assist with other procurement duties as assigned.

- Ensuring sufficient Stores inventory to support mill operation and reliability while maintaining economically justified stocking levels and adhering to all policy-required review practices for inventory additions and changes
- Developing and managing a well cross-trained work team
- Continuous improvement of inventory management, shipping/receiving and storeroom practices / procedures
- Supporting Global Sourcing initiatives
- Supporting overall mill maintenance reliability
Quality Expectations:
- Ensure an understanding of quality policy and support efforts for a positive customer experience.
- Aid in the execution of mill-wide quality efforts as needed to help maintain mill quality standards.

About You: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Science (BS) degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
- Minimum of 4 years' experience preferred to include purchasing, inventory management, shipping and receiving
- Supervisory and Leadership experience
- Industrial/manufacturing experience required, Pulp and Paper Mill experience preferred
- Knowledgeable and experienced in SAP Business Software required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Software
