About the Role:
The Senior Accountant/Controller plays a critical leadership role in managing the financial health and integrity of the organization. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- CPA certification or equivalent professional accounting designation.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Previous experience in a Controller or senior financial management role.
- Familiarity with tax planning and corporate finance strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Lead internal and external audits, coordinating with auditors and implementing recommendations.
- Mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with senior management to analyze financial data.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes.
