Job Title: Staff Accountant

Summary: The Staff Accountant will provide comprehensive support to the Controller and Assistant Controller across a variety of accounting functions. Responsibilities include accounts payable management, payroll process support, account reconciliations, expense tracking, audit activities support, and month-end close process contributions. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to established procedures, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a broad range of accounting processes, including preparation of journal entries, management of accounts payable, support of payroll functions, oversight of inventory and fixed assets, general accounting, and intercompany or general reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with management to deliver required documentation and information to corporate and external auditors on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Perform accounting functions for assigned organizational entities or facilities, ensuring the accuracy of journal entries, budgets, and accounting classifications and charges.
  • Complete individual assignments as directed by supervisors and management, maintain adequate and continuous controls over all assigned activities to uphold quality standards, establish and sustain effective working relationships within the department, corporation, and community, and maintain professional competence and skills necessary for the performance of assigned responsibilities.
  • Support the monthly financial close process.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential for success in this role.

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting Controller and Assistant Controller with a wide variety of functions, including accounts payable, payroll support, account reconciliations, expense tracking, audit support, and month-end close.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Support a wide scope of accounting processes, including journal entry preparation, accounts payable, payroll support, inventory, fixed assets, general accounting and Intercompany/general reconciliations.
  • Assist management with deliverables to Corporate and external auditors on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Provide accounting for the assigned organization entity or facility, verify the accuracy of journal entries, budget and accounting classifications and charges to assigned accounts.
  • Perform such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensure adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintain professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Support monthly close process.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred but will consider relevant experience in lieu of degree. 
  • Three (3) plus years of experience preferred. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
