Bartender/Server Job Description

Position Summary:
Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing and serving beverages and food, and ensuring a welcoming, clean, and efficient dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards
• Serve food and beverages promptly and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and workstations
• Verify customer identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance
• Handle cash, credit transactions, and provide correct change
• Upsell menu items, specials, and promotions when appropriate
• Restock bar supplies, glassware, and garnishes
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of drink recipes, bar equipment, and food service procedures
• Basic math and cash handling skills
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Lift and carry trays, kegs, or supplies (up to 25–50 lbs)
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting
• May be loud and busy during peak hours
