Freese and Nichols is seeking a Transportation Construction Representative to join our Central Plains Construction team in Oklahoma City. As a Construction Representative, you will be responsible for inspecting and documenting construction activities to ensure all work complies with quality and safety standards.Â
Observe and inspect ongoing construction work to ensure construction is in accordance with plans and specificationsÂ
Oversee the construction record keeping activities by recommending payments to contractors, review proposed change orders submitted by consultants and preparing daily reportsÂ
Prepare for and assist with preconstruction meetings, progress checks, and conflict resolutionÂ
Provide information to project manager/construction manager to the need for change orders, extra work and/or supplemental agreementsÂ
Communicate with client, contractors, and other employeesÂ
Read plan and specifications to be able to ensure construction is in accordance with plans and specificationsÂ
Other duties as assigned including travel to/from project sitesÂ
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GEDÂ
1+ years relevant experience in the construction field serving as a construction representative or inspectorÂ
Valid and active driver's licenseÂ
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
 Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)Â
