Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Northwest Library - Oklahoma City, OK 73142Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: BA/BSSalary Range: $65,416.00 - $83,408.00 SalarySummary: Under general direction provides leadership and direction for library staff at a large library or a group of small libraries. Assists with planning, organizing, and managing library operations, including supervising staff and volunteers. Assists users in the use of materials, equipment, and/or services provided by the library. This position will be assigned to the Patience S. Latting Northwest Library, located at 5600 NW 122nd Street in Oklahoma City, OK.   The hiring salary for this position is $65,416.00 annually.  This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.  This position is exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.  The candidate should be available to work all hours the library is open, including some weekends and evenings with specific availability to work at least one closing shift of 12:00 to 9:00 pm each week and a rotating weekend schedule.* *Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the library.   The Metropolitan Library System offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees: Health benefits that include medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage paid in full for Employee-only coverage (Family coverage available) Flexible Spending Accounts Vacation Leave @ 8 hours per month Sick leave @ 8 hours per month Twelve paid holidays (subject to date of hire) Defined Contribution (retirement) plan where employee contributes 6% and is matched at 10% (required participation for full-time employees)   QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and, Two or more years of supervisory experience; and Two or more years of guest service experience. HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: ALA-accredited master’s degree in Library and Information Studies or Library Science Guest service experience in a library setting High level of comfort with computing, online databases, office productivity software and emergent technologies. Experience building sustainable community relationships. Experience in human services and/or working with at-risk populations.
