Tinker Federal Credit Union’s Finance department has an immediate opening for an AVP Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis! As an AVP Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Serving as a key partner responsible for leading the credit union’s financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis activities.
  • Delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights that support organizational decision making and long‑term strategy.
  • Developing forward‑looking financial plans, conducts variance and trend analyses, and provides data‑driven guidance that enhances financial discipline and informs resource allocation.
  • Leading a team that collaborates with business units across the organization to drive performance, optimize financial outcomes, and align results with strategic goals.

Salary Range:

This is an exempt position. The starting salary range is $131,113.13 - $163,891.42 however, actual placement within the range will be determined individually based on your experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity.

 

Schedule:

Normally works a weekday schedule, but may be required to work evenings, holidays, or weekends. May be required to travel overnight with or without notice. Could be subjected to on-call status.

 

Education/Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, along with seven years of experience in progressively responsible accounting or finance roles, including at least one of those seven years in a supervisory, lead, or senior‑level capacity. Applicable work experience and/or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for one year of education. Applicable additional education levels or relevant but not required certifications may be eligible to satisfy minimum experience requirements. Experience performing FP&A work within financial institutions is preferred.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  1. Incumbent Bonding REQUIRED by TFCU’s chosen authority.
  2. Valid driver’s license, maintaining an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  3. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, or FPAC) are preferred.

 

Keys to success:

In order to be successful as an AVP Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis you must possess these qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to guide teams, oversee complex financial projects, and build strong cross‑functional relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information and craft clear, compelling data‑driven narratives for senior leadership and other varying non‑finance audiences.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and Excel with experience designing and implementing models that support strategic decision making.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, operate independently, and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with financial planning systems (e.g., Anaplan) and familiarity with ERP platforms to support forecasting, reporting, and process optimization.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI to support advanced reporting and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles with the ability to connect accounting outcomes to broader business strategies.
