Job DetailsJob Location: Medical Office Building (MOB) - Oklahoma City, OK 73114Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DaysDEFINITION: Charge Entry Coordinator inputs charges related to the Physician Professional Services, Physical Therapy, MRI, Lab and Infusion into the practice management system, in accordance with practice protocol with an emphasis on accuracy and timely reimbursement.  Reviews the physician coding at charge entry to insure compliance.  Verifies demographics and insurance information at time of charge entry.   Charge Entry Coordinator will also assist patients to determine patient financial responsibility, request, accept and post payments for the office visit. Tracks encounter forms to ensure capture of charges monthly.  Will also assist in coverage at the Customer Service Representative (CSR) positon. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma and two years related experience and/or training.  May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, Modifiers and ICD.  Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents and policy/procedure manuals.  Ability to write correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office and other database systems.   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma and two years related medical office experience, with knowledge of medical coding preferred.
