Commercial Lender

Summary:

Responsible for Commercial Lending in the Oklahoma City Regent Bank location. This will include developing new business through the underwriting, structing, and closing commercial loans, as well as maintaining and servicing existing portfolios.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Acquisition, expansion and retention of commercial relationship using a proactive strategy
• Analyze credit history of applicants and determines loan repayment capabilities
• Meet with customers to negotiate credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications
• Evaluate potential loan requests and make loan recommendations to management
• Reviews new laws and regulations and makes recommendation to management when necessary
• Review, approval, and dispositions of commercial overdrafts

Education And/Or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business-related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of Five (5) years of commercial loan experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze credit
• Knowledge of Zoom or Webex to setup meetings
• Detail oriented and ability to work under pressure of deadlines
• All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment background, credit, and drug screening

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Sitting for long periods of time.

Working Conditions:

General comfortable environment. Noise, heat, dust and other problems are minimal. Unpredictable hours, sometimes exceedingly long in order to correct mistakes whether or not related to computer failure or unusually heavy client traffic. Exposed to a potentially hazardous condition, i.e. robbery. All employees are required to maintain a neat and safe work area.
