This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, infection control standards, and overall cleanliness standards to protect patients, staff, and visitors from potential hazards. Â Key Responsibilities: Containment Setup: Establish and maintain proper containment barriers, including walls, doors, and signage, in areas undergoing construction or renovation. Infection Control: Collaborate with infection control teams to adhere to protocols that minimize airborne contaminants and maintain a sterile environment. Hazardous Material Handling: Safely manage and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Monitoring and Inspection: Regularly inspect containment areas to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any breaches or issues to management. Collaboration: Work closely with construction teams, facility management, and healthcare staff to coordinate containment efforts and minimize disruption to hospital operations. Additional Responsibilities as assigned. QualificationsQualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in construction safety, infection control, or hazardous material handling preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, environmental services, or a related field, preferably within a healthcare setting. Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA regulations, infection control practices, and healthcare facility protocols. Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Ability to be flexible in an ever-changing work environment. Ability to complete tasks as required with limited or no supervision. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry equipment, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions. Comfortable using a ladder and working above your head, occasionally within tight, confined spaces.
