Job DetailsJob Location: Oklahoma City Office - Oklahoma City, OK 73102Job Summary: The Corporate Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting corporate-level reporting for an Oil & Gas organization. This role will be responsible for monthly close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific accounting standards such as successful efforts (SE) or full cost (FC) accounting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of Oil & Gas accounting practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post monthly journal entries for corporate entities. Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and internal reporting packages. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data. Assist with consolidation of multiple subsidiaries or business units. Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and resolve variances. Prepare entries related to asset retirement obligations (ARO), depletion, depreciation, and amortization (DD&A). Assist with revenue, joint interest billing (JIB), and production accounting data as needed. Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits. Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate accounting data. Prepare audit schedules and assist with external financial audits. Ensure compliance with SOX/internal controls and company policies. Participate in process improvements to streamline accounting workflows. QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of accounting experience; Oil & Gas experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.  Preferred Qualifications: CPA or progress toward CPA. Experience with SEC reporting or public-company environments. Prior work with upstream or midstream operational accounting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Professional communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. High level of integrity and commitment to quality.
