FSB is a full-service Architecture and Engineering firm built on over 80 years of design excellence, technical innovation, and community impact. As digital infrastructure continues to shape the future of how we live, work, and connect, FSB is expanding our expertise in mission critical and data center design and we’re seeking Electrical Engineers who are energized by complex systems, high performance environments, and purposeful engineering.
We are currently seeking Electrical Engineers to join our collaborative engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design of resilient, scalable, and efficient electrical systems for mission critical facilities and data centers, while also supporting a broad portfolio of aviation, federal, commercial, civic, and tribal projects. If you’re passionate about designing the infrastructure that powers tomorrow’s technology and want to be part of a team driven by collaboration, technical excellence, and meaningful impact, we invite you to apply.
Responsibilities
- Design and document electrical systems for mission critical facilities and data centers, including medium- and low-voltage power distribution, UPS systems, standby generation, grounding, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage infrastructure.Â
- Support the planning and design of resilient and redundant electrical systems focused on uptime, reliability, and operational continuity.Â
- Produce one-line diagrams, panel schedules, power plans, lighting layouts, specifications, coordination studies, and technical reports.Â
- Perform electrical engineering calculations including load analysis, short circuit coordination, arc flash, voltage drop, and selective coordination studies.Â
- Coordinate with mechanical engineers and technology teams on critical systems such as cooling infrastructure, equipment power requirements, and integrated building systems.Â
- Apply NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and other applicable codes and standards to deliver compliant, high-performance solutions.Â
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and technical coordination sessions with owners, contractors, and consultants.Â
- Collaborate across disciplines to deliver fully integrated project solutions for complex facilities.Â
- Support QA/QC processes and construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, commissioning coordination, and site observations.Â
- Lead project scopes, oversee deliverables, mentor junior staff, and contribute to technical excellence initiatives (mid- and senior-level roles).Â
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams and client groups.Â
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities focused on reliability, efficiency, and system performance.Â
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.Â
- Interest in mentoring and developing junior engineering staff.Â
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to technical clarity and detail.Â
- Initiative in identifying innovative solutions, improving workflows, and advancing engineering best practices.Â
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, mission critical systems, and evolving industry trends.Â

- FE exam passed is preferred but not required.
- 0–3years of experience.Â
- Interest or internship exposure in HVAC, mission critical systems, or building infrastructure preferred, but not required.
Mid-Level Engineer
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- FE exam passed and actively pursuing PE licensure preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in electrical system design.Â
- Demonstrated ability to lead design efforts and coordinate small to mid-scale projects.Â
- Experience with mission critical, data center, industrial, or high-performance facility projects is highly desirable.Â
Senior Mechanical Engineer
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Active PE license required.Â
- 10+ years of progressive experience leading electrical design and multidisciplinary coordination.Â
- Experience leading mission critical or data center projects, including redundant cooling systems and high-availability infrastructure, is strongly preferred.Â
Additional Qualifications
- Proficiency in Revit is required, or the ability to become proficient in a short amount time; experience with SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, or similar electrical analysis software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of building systems, documentation standards, and interdisciplinary coordination.Â
