Position PurposeĀ Ā
IO Program Coordinator IIĀ plays a critical role in supporting the Oklahoma Health Care Authority's mission by ensuring efficient and effective administration ofĀ SoonerCare/Insure OklahomaĀ and other Medicaid programs. This positionĀ is responsible forĀ resolving member,Ā employerĀ and agent inquiries,Ā managing member enrollments,Ā processing invoices and employer documents, processing incomeĀ documentsĀ and maintaining compliance with program policies. The role requiresĀ strong communicationĀ skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex program guidelines, all whileĀ maintainingĀ a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders.Ā
PrincipalĀ ActivitiesĀ May Include:Ā Ā
Research and resolveĀ employer, agent andĀ member inquiriesĀ andĀ complaints.Ā
Investigate and addressĀ employer payment discrepancies, fraud andĀ abuse, and quality assurance complaints.āÆĀ
Interpret and communicateĀ SoonerCare/Insure OklahomaĀ policies and procedures toĀ employers,Ā members, and stakeholders.āÆĀ
Educate on program coverage, services, and eligibility guidelines forĀ SoonerCare, and InsureĀ OklahomaĀ programs.āÆĀ
Process and resolveĀ eligibility issues, paymentĀ discrepanciesĀ and invoice discrepancies.Ā
Manage member applications, enrollments, plan changes, and eligibility verifications.āÆĀ
IdentifyĀ and report system discrepancies.āÆĀ
Research and implement system updates and corrections.āÆĀ
Stay current onĀ SoonerCare/Insure OklahomaĀ rule revisions and program changes.āÆĀ
Maintain organized reference materials and update written controls.āÆĀ
Coordinate with other departments on operational procedures.āÆĀ
Communicate independently with members,Ā employersĀ and stakeholders to resolve issues.āÆĀ
Participate in special projects, memberĀ and employerĀ outreach, and educational efforts.āÆĀ
RepresentsĀ OHCA in meetings, seminars, and training forums.āÆĀ
Support workflow during staff absences and manage high call volumes.āÆĀ

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competency RequirementsĀ
IO Program Coordinator IIĀ requiresĀ in-depth knowledge of Medicaid program policies,Ā strong communicationĀ skills for resolving inquiries, and the ability to manage complex administrative processes. This role demands attention to detail, effective collaboration, and the ability to navigate both member andĀ employerĀ concerns. The Korn Ferry competencies that align well with this position areĀ Manages Complexity, for handling detailed program and policy administration, andĀ Collaborates, for working effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure program success.Ā

Education and/or Experience:Ā Ā
1Ā year of experienceĀ as customer service representative.Ā
An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college, including six semester hours in business or public administration for the required experience plusĀ 1Ā years of experience in customer service, processing tax returns, bookkeeping or closely related work.Ā
PreferenceĀ Qualifications Include:Ā Ā
Certifications in any of the following areas:Ā Certified Medicaid Professional (CMP), Customer Service or Call Center Management Certification, Project Management Certification (PMP),Ā Lean Six Sigma Certification,Ā Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA), or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) CertificationĀ
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentĀ
Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise levels.Ā In the course ofĀ performing job duties, employeesĀ are required toĀ speak, stand, walk, and reach with their hands and arms. This position requires extended periods of sitting and daily use of computers and phones. Employees must be willing to complete all job-related travel associated with this position. Being present at the office is an essential function of this position.Ā Ā
