Job DetailsJob Location: Corporate Headquarters - Oklahoma City, OK 73162Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: FacilitiesThe Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing and overseeing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities to support the safe, reliable, and professional operation of the Express Employment International corporate office. This role serves as a qualified technical resource, providing troubleshooting, independent evaluation of building systems, and coordination of internal and external maintenance activities. The Lead Maintenance Technician triages maintenance requests, determines appropriate resolution strategies (in-house versus vendor-supported), and ensures all work is completed in accordance with quality and safety standards. This position partners closely with Facilities leadership to improve maintenance operations, optimize resource allocation, and support the long-term reliability and performance of building systems. This position sits within our Oklahoma City based corporate office and requires an onsite presence. RESPONSIBILITIES  Perform general building maintenance and minor repairs, including painting, drywall repair, ceiling tile replacement, and basic carpentry work. Complete light plumbing and electrical tasks, such as replacing fixtures, addressing minor leaks, unclogging drains, and changing lighting components. Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and with minimal disruption to operations. Conduct facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, equipment deficiencies, and safety concerns, recommending appropriate corrective actions when necessary. Support preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Evaluate repair requirements and determine when specialized services or external contractors are needed. Coordinate and oversee vendor activities, ensuring work is completed according to scope, quality standards, and project timelines. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving facility-related issues involving building systems, equipment, and operational spaces. Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, increase efficiency, and reduce operating costs. Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and established safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with office moves, furniture installations, facility improvement projects, and other special assignments as needed. Support emergency response efforts related to facility operations, including power outages, water intrusion, and other urgent maintenance situations. Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, vendor services, and maintenance activities. Provide professional customer service and technical support to employees, contractors, and facility stakeholders while promoting a safe and well-maintained work environment. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years of experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or a similar environment. Experienced with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building envelope troubleshooting. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders. Ability to review scopes and repair plans KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES  Advanced knowledge of building systems, maintenance tasks, and tools. Ability to read technical documents and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers. Ability to perform routine, hands on maintenance work with attention to detail. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills within defined procedures. Dependable, self motivated, and able to work independently on assigned tasks.
