Responsibilities

The Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Partner (AUA) Performs a variety of patient care duties under the direct supervision of an Registered Nurse. Actively participates in administering patient care and ensures a safe and comforting environment. Must be able to interact with patients, families, physicians and all levels of staffing an effective manner. Assist clinical team members by performing a variety of patient care tasks and comfort measures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Actively participates in administering patient care and ensures a safe and comforting environment
  • Responds to patients’ needs in a timely manner
  • Assists patients with ADL’s, including meals, bathing, and hygiene needs
  • Demonstrates ability to perform 12 lead EKG.

Qualifications

Nursing Assistant:

Education: High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred. Completion of CNA Program, Medical Assistant Program, PCA or similar program preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required.  Basic EKG skills required within six months of employment.

Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.

 

Patient Care Partner:

Education: High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.  Completion of AUA Program.

Licensure/Certification:  Current BLS certification required.  Basic EKG skills required within six months of employment.  Completion of AUA Certification Program with successful completion of test and licensed with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
