Assists Physician, or Clinic Nurse and/or LPN with treatment procedures following direction in an accurate and precise manner. Participates in nursing reports by receiving and contributing to status report of participants. Prepares participant room for receiving participant, assuring a clean and safe environment. Assists and accompanies participant in clinical admission, care, and disposition. Takes and records vital signs, height, weight (and other measurements, as applicable) in an accurate and precise manner. Performs general care activities for participants following established procedures. Anticipates participant needs, and responds to participant and physician needs promptly. Assumes responsibility for participants clothing and personal property (prosthetic devices, hearing aids, glasses, etc.), securing items in accordance with established procedure. Assists with, or transports participants as necessary. Collects specimens, labels properly, and transports to proper area in a timely manner. Reports and/or records any changes observed in condition or behavior of the participant to Physician or RN. Familiar with duties and performs them accurately, recognizing their importance in relationship to participant care. Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment with well-stocked supplies and functioning equipment. Follows care plan, observes established policy and procedures to assure proper treatment and care of participant. Responsible for completion of assignments without interference with quality of work. Able to adapt to change in workload. Able to perform in an accurate and precise manner in crises and emergency situations when time is of the essence. Willingly performs or offers to perform assignments as needed provided they are within the scope of care. Establishes good rapport with participants, families, and visitors, respecting participants rights to privacy and confidentiality of information. Provides direction to participants, families, and visitors in a courteous, precise manner with a positive tone. Functions in a calm manner during emergency and crisis situations. Responds to requests in a friendly, cooperative manner. Establishes a good rapport and working relationship with co-workers, other nurses, physicians, and supervisory staff. Independently performs assigned duties, willingly cooperates with staff in delivery of more complex treatments and procedures. Recognizes and performs duties which need to be performed, although not directly assigned. Seeks guidance and direction, as necessary, for performance of duties. Provides proper notification for absence or tardiness, and is punctual at start of shift. Performs and completes assignments, provides follow through on assignments while providing consistent quality and quantity of work. Performs routine duties accurately with minimal supervision. Follows through with care activities from previous shift to assure continuity of care; reports incomplete duties or assignment to appropriate nursing personnel. Maintains equipment assigned to participant care, and reports malfunctioning of equipment to appropriate personnel. Accurate and timely documentation. Current CPR certification High school diploma or equivalent.   Physical Requirements: Ability to speak, hear, and read English. Lift up to 100lbs. from floor to 19 and from 19 to 25 (occasional) Walk up to .25 miles (frequent) Sustained forward bending in sitting (occasional) Push/Pull up to 100 lbs of force at 36 (occasional) Repetitive squat motion (occasional) Ability to stand (constant), sit (occasional), sustained squat (occasional), kneeling (occasional) Full body range of motion (constant) Front carry two handed carry of 25lbs. up to 20 feet (occasional) Balance (occasional) in walking, standing, carrying, moving patients, and equipment, etc.
