Parking ManagerÂ
Position Summary
The Parking Manager plays a key leadership role in delivering a seamless, elevated guest experience at The National. This position has primary responsibility for valet operations, while also providing leadership and oversight of front desk and broader guest service functions. The Parking Manager ensures every guest interaction—from arrival through departure—reflects the service standards and distinctive character of an Autograph Collection hotel.
This role requires a hands-on, service-driven leader who excels in fast-paced environments, leads teams with confidence and accountability, and consistently prioritizes guest satisfaction, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Valet Operations & Guest Services
- Oversee daily valet operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and welcoming arrival and departure experiences
- Lead, train, schedule, and coach valet team members to meet service expectations, safety standards, and operational needs
- Maintain a visible, hands-on presence at the valet stand and other guest-facing areas to support service flow, particularly during peak arrival and departure periods
- Monitor vehicle flow, parking procedures, key control, vehicle retrieval times, and overall valet efficiency
- Ensure valet operations comply with company policies, safety standards, driving requirements, and established procedures
- Respond to and appropriately document vehicle incidents, guest concerns, accidents, or other operational issues
- Monitor guest feedback and operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and the overall guest experience
- Collaborate closely with Front Office, Security, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage to ensure a cohesive guest experience
Front Desk Support & Service Excellence
- Provide leadership and operational support to the Front Desk and Guest Services team as needed
- Support front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, guest communication, and lobby coverage when operational needs require
- Assist with coaching and developing Front Desk and Guest Services team members to maintain consistent service standards
- Act as a point of escalation for guest concerns, resolving issues professionally and efficiently
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) when scheduled, overseeing overall property operations and responding to guest and operational needs
- Ensure brand standards, service protocols, and property procedures are consistently upheld throughout the guest experience
Leadership & Administrative Responsibilities
- Foster a positive, accountable, and service-oriented team culture
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management for supervised team members
- Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, payroll review, and labor management
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels based on business volume and operational needs
- Complete incident reports, daily logs, coaching documentation, and operational follow-up as required
- Participate in leadership meetings, service reviews, and property initiatives
- Partner with hotel leadership to identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction, team performance, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous hospitality leadership experience in valet, parking, guest services, or front office operations required
- Strong understanding of guest service standards in an upscale or luxury hospitality setting
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage high-volume operations, and handle guest concerns with professionalism
- Strong focus on safety, accountability, and operational efficiency
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability and willingness to operate a variety of guest vehicles safely, including both automatic and manual transmission vehicles, as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a full-service or luxury hotel environment
- Familiarity with Autograph Collection or branded hotel standards
- Working knowledge of Lightspeed property management systems
- Experience with Flash Valet or similar valet management software
- Previous leadership experience in valet or parking operations strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to move quickly between valet, lobby, and front desk areas based on operational needs
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
