Job Specific Working Conditions:
Job: Part-Time Mission Staff
YL Area: Edmond Young Life
Hours: 15 hrs/week
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead/Coordinate High School ministry for Edmond Young Life.
- Regular contact work at public high schools with students, faculty, coaches, andstaff.
- Plan and help execute regular Club/events.
- Plan, help execute, and provide leadership for weekly Campaigners for self and other leaders.
- Take kids to weekend and summer camps and lead those trips for students and leaders.
- Assist with yearly fundraisers.
- Raise financial support as directed.
EXPECTATIONS
- Meet with Area Director weekly (1 hour average)
- Regular communication to kids and parents about upcoming events and calendar.
- Weekly office hours as directed.
- Be at the school for contact work weekly.
- Lead your own campaigners weekly.
- Lead a camping strategy for the area.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
Young Life is a relational ministry. Staff must be able to express themselves adequately and understandably in verbal and written communication. Understands that a Young Life staff person is a representation of Christ and Young Life. Must be able to build genuine, trusting, and consistent relationships with adolescents. The ability to relate to both adults and kids is required. The ability to research and study is necessary for speaking and doing presentations. Must manage time well. Accurate development and management of resources is required for good stewardship of donated funds.

Ministry Functions:
Spiritual Development — “Following Jesus” includes prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health and church relationships.
Leadership Development — “Equipping leaders, committee and staff” includes key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting.
Resource Development — “Fueling the ministry” includes events, major donor care, public relations (branding) and TDS team.
Direct Ministry — “Proclaiming and modeling” includes contact work, club, Campaigners and camp.
Ministry Support — “Taking care of business” includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan.
