Position Details:

Help Launch Our New Digestive Health Center (OPENING JUNE 2026) – Now Hiring!

The Kathryn Ann Meinders Health Institute at Mercy Oklahoma City will be the only comprehensive health care center dedicated exclusively to digestive health within a 500-mile drive. The 52,000 square feet has 7 procedure rooms, 21 prep/recovery rooms, a chapel, ambulatory space for gastro-intestinal health care, an inflammatory bowel disease clinic, a hepatology clinic, a motility lab, education space and administrative offices.

Location: NEW FACILITY! Kathryn Ann Meinders Health Institute (off W Memorial Rd)

Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week) 

Schedule: 4 10s (8a-6:30p Mon-Fri with a set day off)

Overview:

Interventional Resource Nurses utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric/pediatric patients. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Required Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree

  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements

  • Required Experience: 1 year of experience

  • Preferred Experience: 2 years of critical-care and +6 months of GI endoscopy experience

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire; One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses), OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization), S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules, C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification), Other unit-specific certifications as required

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
