Position Summary
The Corporate Senior Accountant fulfills a vital dual role within our organization. Â Responsibilities are split between working on our internal corporate financial infrastructure and direct participation in the strategic growth of a new QuickBooks-centered business line. This individual executes advanced corporate accounting transactions, manages the month-end close, reviews staff workflows, and coordinates directly with the CFO and VP of Accounting. Â Concurrently, they architect external client onboarding frameworks, track client project costs, and scale the operational delivery of our QuickBooks services ecosystem.

Expected Leadership & Practice-Building Competencies

Role-Specific Responsibilities
Corporate Financial Execution & Close Management
- Learn current workflows and the invoicing processÂ
- Prepare and execute complex general ledger entries, calculations, and month-end/quarter-end/year-end corporate closing activities.
- Maintain, review, and reconcile balance sheet, bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Perform initial corporate financial analysis, prepare draft statements, and clarify budget-to-actual variances.
- Research and apply GAAP accounting standards across unique corporate reporting scenarios, M&A due diligence, and divestitures.
- Support corporate and multi-state tax compliance matters, external audits, and regulatory inquiries.
Staff Oversight & Operations
- Review internal accounting staff work products to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely results.
- Coordinate with executive leadership to run staff development initiatives, providing backup coverage for team members when necessary.
- Drive continuous process improvements, maximizing integrations between accounting systems, CRM, and project management platforms.
QuickBooks Financial Integration Specialist and Client Management
- Lead the creation and expansion of a new business division focused on the QuickBooks ecosystem under the guidance of the CFO and VP of Accounting.
- Manage the onboarding framework for new external clients, ensuring smooth data migration and clear initial financial structuring.
- Oversee project budgets, prepare client estimates, and track client costs utilizing existing software including but not limited to QuickBooks, BQE Core, and Salesforce.
- Train and upskill team members to execute client-specific accounting calculations, automation workflows, and transaction recording.
- Participate in industry organizations, professional networks, and speaking engagements to promote the business line as opportunities allow.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Preference bachelor’s degree in accounting with minor in finance or MIS.
- Experience: 5 – 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally blending corporate accounting with client-facing advisory      services.
- QuickBooks Mastery: Advanced, direct expertise with QuickBooks Online Advanced (certifications preferred).
- Systems & Software: Direct experience utilizing BQE Core (or similar project management billing/time-tracking software), Salesforce (for CRM/project management), and Paylocity (or comparable payroll systems).
- Technical Excel: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data modeling).
- Core Skills: Exceptional client-facing communication skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and sharp critical-thinking capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active CPA credential or clear progress toward completion.
- Direct experience accounting for Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) and related transaction nuances.
- Background supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) financial integrations.
- Proven record of managing multi-system software integrations and platform data syncing.
