What is the role?

The Software Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects. This role serves as the bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring that project goals align with business objectives while maintaining scope, budget, and timelines. The Software Project Manager collaborates closely with developers, designers, account managers, and clients to define project requirements, manage resources, mitigate risks, and ensure high-quality outcomes.


Key to this role is strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Software Project Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration, resolving challenges, and driving projects toward successful completion.

Deliverables: What you have to achieve

  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate project risks with Leadership and the Account Management Team.
  • Develops comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and quality management.
  • Monitors project performance, tracking key metrics, and implementing appropriate adjustments.
  • Ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders, team members, and clients.
  • Manages project budgets, tracking expenses, and conducting financial analysis.
  • Conducting post-project evaluations and capturing lessons learned for future improvement.
  • Makes decisions and provides strategic guidance to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrates leadership by mentoring and coaching Project Coordinators, and Associate Project Managers
  • Can identify process improvements and contributes to process improvement implementation
  • Can work with Leadership and PMO Lead to take ambiguous deliverables to create a delivery and execution path that makes sense to the Project Team, Internal and External stakeholders

  • Extreme attention to detail, but can also see the big picture and take long-term goals into account when making short-term action items
  • Track record of being detail-oriented, having the ability to wear multiple hats, identifying areas for improvement/support, and delivering results in a highly organized manner

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and delivery of active projects with the project team
  • Track project deliverables and due dates
  • Develop and maintain accurate and complete project documentation
  • Mentor Project Coordinators & Associate Project Managers
  • Handle day-to-day project-level client communication
  • Manage the processing of project-related internal and client-facing document filing/sending
  • Perform data entry and word processing as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Techincal Skills

  • Google Suite (G-mail, Google Calendar, Google Meet, etc.) proficiency
  • Jira/Confluence familiarity
  • Strong Techincal Adaptability

Minimum Physical, Mental, and Environmental Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, Employees are routinely required to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Employees are regularly required to move around the home or company offices to attend business meetings and other company gatherings.
  • Ability to audibly communicate within an office environment and to utilize text-based communication via business devices.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus onto computer screens for extended periods.
  • Cognitive workplace responsibilities may require intense concentration, personal/professional patience, and rapid recall of professional knowledge.
  • The Employee may occasionally be required to lift and /or move items and equipment weighing up to 20 lbs.
