Job DetailsJob Location: Jones, OK 73049Position Type: Full Time  Sous Chef   Job Title: Sous Chef Job Type: Full-time Hours: Monday - Friday 9 am to 6pm, Weekends as needed   The Opportunity This is more than a kitchen position. As Sous Chef at The Healing Center, you will work alongside our Executive Chef to nourish the bodies and spirits of men and women on the road to recovery. You will bring culinary skill and a servant’s heart to daily meal preparation, support the coordination of seasonal and organic menus, and help create an environment where food becomes a vehicle for healing and community.   If you are a culinary professional who believes food can restore dignity and connection, we want to meet you.   What You’ll Do Prepare and execute daily meals in coordination with the Executive Chef, ensuring food is cooked thoroughly, presented attractively, and served on time Exhibit awareness of client dietary needs as provided by the Registered Dietitian, review the menu board for accuracy, and ensure all food is handled and presented safely Follow established recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines to maintain The Healing Center’s quality standards Assume full responsibility for the quality of products served and communicate client feedback to the culinary team Maintain all food at appropriate temperatures before and during serving times Support the Executive Chef in kitchen operations including food inventory, ordering, and supply management Provide cooking instruction and hands-on guidance to clients as requested, contributing to their life skills development Greet all clients and staff with a professional and welcoming attitude, helping to foster a communal dining experience that promotes connection and dignity   What You Bring Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sous Chef, Lead Line Cook, or in a kitchen management role High school diploma or equivalent A working knowledge of basic culinary techniques and knife handling skills The ability to follow direction, work as part of a team, and maintain composure in a fast-paced kitchen environment A genuine care for the people you serve and an understanding that your work contributes to something larger than the plate   What Sets You Apart 3 or more years of experience in a well-regarded culinary role Proficiency with advanced culinary techniques and knife skills Experience with health-conscious, holistic, or wellness-oriented cooking Familiarity with seasonal, organic, or farm-to-table meal preparation Prior experience in a residential treatment, retreat, or wellness facility environment   What We Offer Medical insurance (with company contribution) Dental and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance and long-term disability Voluntary life insurance and short-term disability Paid time off Health savings account (HSA) and flexible spending account (FSA) Dependent care flexible spending account with dollar-for-dollar match 401(k) — Roth or traditional — with up to 6% company match The opportunity to do meaningful, mission-driven work every single day A collaborative, faith-centered team environment committed to seeing lives restored   About Hope Is Alive Ministries Hope Is Alive Ministries is a faith-based recovery organization dedicated to promoting wellness, recovery, and spiritual growth.
