Diamondback Energy is an independent oil and natural gas company headquartered in Midland, Texas. The company also has an Accounting, IT and Land Administration presence in Oklahoma City, OK. We are focused on the acquisition, development, exploration, and exploitation of unconventional, onshore oil and natural gas reserves in the Permian Basin in West Texas.The Land Administration Intern will own an assigned summer project and work directly with the Division Order and Lease Administration teams to manage the legal and financial ownership of oil and gas assets. You’ll work closely with your team to ensure the Company maintains its leases, complies with contracts, and pays the correct royalty owners.

Job ResponsibilitiesÂ
Include, but are not limited toÂ
- Work on an assigned, individual Land Administration project throughout the summer, culminating in a presentation of the completed project to Diamondback's executive teamÂ
- Develop and increase knowledge in all phases of Land Administration under the direction of an assigned, experienced mentor Â
- Assist Division Orders and Lease Administration in all phases of the Land Administration work required to maintain acreage, ownership, and agreementsÂ
- Research and analyze title opinions, leases, operating agreements, term assignments, and other title documentation to determine obligationsÂ
- Confirm ownership in operated and non-operated wells in order tocomply with contractual obligationsÂ
- Interface with other departments to understand how asset teams and other disciplines drive key business outcomesÂ
- Participate in on-site field visits to learn about field operations, including an active drilling rig and active completions spreadÂ
- Participate in intern events and philanthropic endeavors that support the Oklahoma City communityÂ

Required Qualifications:Â
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Energy Management, Energy Commerce, or a similar disciplineÂ
- Must have strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skillsÂ
- Must be willing to work in Oklahoma City, OK for the duration of the internshipÂ
- Must be returning to school for the Fall 2027 semesterÂ

- Cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higherÂ
- Extracurricular achievements or prior work experienceÂ
