POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACTĀ 

Moss'Ā Superintendent plans, schedule, organize and direct the construction of wood multi-family building projects. They are responsible for all field execution of the project. Superintendents typically will have several Assistant Superintendents as direct reports. Superintendents are responsible for coordinating the timely and cost-effective placement of the contracted work.  They assist the Project Manager and/or Project Executive with all project needs.  They supervise directly or through subordinates all field construction work, by the company's own forces and by the Subcontractors. They have full responsibility for all pertinent Safety and Quality Control policies and procedures.  

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESĀ 

  • May participate in preconstruction by identifying project requirements and Owner Contract requirementsĀ 

  • Works with Project Manager and scheduling team to create and build the project scheduleĀ 

  • Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractorsĀ 

  • Lead the team from construction start through project closeĀ 

  • Communicate scope to the entire site management teamĀ 

  • ConstructsĀ the project by maintaining a project production schedule, assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractorĀ 

  • Manages safetyĀ by establishing safety protocols to ensure job site consistently adheres to OSHA safety standardsĀ 

  • Communicate regularly with owners, and other construction management team membersĀ 

  • Manages job progress by participating in owner’s meetings, participates in ā€œin-houseā€ staff meetings and provides written documentation on job progressĀ 

  • Performs daily Superintendent reports, and updates scheduleĀ 

  • Manages the quality control planĀ 

  • Supervise assigned project personnel and maintain a positive work environmentĀ 

  • Manages project turnover/closeout process and assists in determining project turnover sequenceĀ 

  • Lead and coach new team members by providing feedback and performance evaluation and recognizing accomplishmentsĀ 

  • Participates in professional development activities including continuing educationĀ 

  • Perform other related duties as assignedĀ 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCEĀ 

  • Bachelor'sĀ in construction management, engineering or related field preferred  

  • Experienced as a primary Superintendent on multi-family wood projectsĀ Ā 

  • Experience with multiple direct reports and an exceptional ability to lead and manage project teams is a necessityĀ 

  • Computer proficiencyĀ
