Job DetailsJob Location: OK Oklahoma City - Oklahoma City, OK 73129Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: AnyJob Category: Sales  The Vice President - Sales will be responsible for driving and increasing revenue to the company's bottom line.   What a day looks like as a Vice President - Sales:   Work closely with the Senior Vice President and Executive Team to accomplish the goals and objectives and strategic plan Develops the annual sales/marketing plan and the strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve system and goals Oversees and provides direction to market and competitor analysis Provides leadership, direction and management of the market research function Creates a sales reporting function that can track, measure and analyze the sales team performance Ensures all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources Provides sales/marketing skills and expertise to the Company by building, developing and managing a sales team capable of carrying out of the necessary sales/marketing strategies and tactics Represent the Company to customers, the public and local and national Associations Provide direction, guidance and counseling to the Business Development Managers using a hands-on approach   Additional Responsibilities:   Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Senior Vice President.  Qualifications  Education and Experience:   Business Degree preferred 10-15 yrs. of overall sales experience required 3+ yrs. of Trucking sales experienced required Long-haul freight experience preferred Direct account management experience preferred Transportation Operations knowledge a plus   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.  This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of bulk liquids and the regulations that follow Knowledge of DOT regulations, federal and state standards Knowledge of pricing lanes Candidate must be available to travel up to 50%  Ideal candidate would possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate ability to lead people and get results through others Ability to analyze and problem solve at both a strategic and functional level. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects Self-starter with detail oriented work habits Able to maintain confidentiality Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising. Display professional demeanor Good interpersonal skills; able to work well with wide range of individuals Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules Basic computer skills Knowledge of basic company employment policies and procedures   Physical Requirements:   Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual activity Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds)   Working Conditions:   Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners. Will be required to travel up to 50%
