Job DetailsJob Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73131Position Type: Part TimeThe Academy of Classical Christian Studies                                                Job Description:  Consercatory Instructor  Reports to: Fine Arts Director Updated: May 2024   Quality programs start with quality teachers. The Academy expects teachers to act as Christian role models and be Christ-like ambassadors for the school. Teachers should be committed to fulfilling the mission of the school, helping students grow in their relationship with God and their instrument, and have a deep passion and knowledge of their discipline within the fine arts.  The employee shall perform the duties outlined in the following job description and other duties assigned by the Administration.    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:  Accepts responsibility for the enrollment, training, practicing and supervising student.  Demonstrates loyalty to the Fine Arts Department  Works harmoniously and cooperatively with assistants and other Fine Arts department personnel.  Serves through the entire school year.  Value every student – independent of their ability – as God’s image bearer.  Assists the Fine Arts Director in the selection and performance monitoring of assistant instructors in his/her charge.  Collects and maintains appropriate paperwork, forms and fees.  Assists the Fine Arts Director in scheduling special events where your private lesson students will perform.  Provides clear, consistent communication to students and families regarding rehearsal and performance schedule as well as other private lesson matters.  Manages private lesson schedules as well as providing makeup lessons for students in accordance with department policies.  Is present and on time for all events, including rehearsal, unless excused or an emergency arises.  Supervises students during all rehearsals/performances/events and until the building and facilities are locked and secured after the conclusion of an event.  Responsible for performance facilities used by the program.  Attend periodically scheduled meetings with Fine Arts Director for program development.  Attend professional development opportunities and Fine Arts Department activities that promote professional growth.   Produce an excellent private lesson experience while maintaining the school mission and culture.  Actively promote The Academy Fine Arts Department within the district and surrounding community.  Inventory, issue, and collect all equipment used by the private lesson experience.  Coordinates with local vendors for students to rent or purchase any necessary materials for the private lesson experience.   Qualifications
